Rainy Melbourne Day {Melbourne Child Photographer}

It was a cold, windy, miserable Grand Final day here in Melbourne. Nothing else to do but to take some photos of the kiddopotamoos. Here are my two favourites of the day.
Please note: My daughter's favourite thing at the moment is to be naked...LOL

Photo a Day - Day 18 {Melbourne Child Photography}

OK, so I am a little bit behind with blogging my 'Photo a Day'. Having been away in Sydney and editing client sessions has put me behind but I hope I can update the last 2 weeks very soon.
Tomorrow is a very special day in the Torney household. It's my beautiful Paigey Girl's 3rd birthday. Where did the time go? Having a newborn in the house means I am constantly reflecting on those first precious weeks home with Paige. She is a feisty, moody, independent little person who is ever so clever. She remembers everything and is constantly recalling information or facts that we have told her weeks before. I love this little girl with all my being. She is the light of my life and I love her to the moon and back and then some.

Happy 3rd Birthday my sweet girl.

And congratulations goes to... {Melbourne Family Photographer}

As you all know, I had a quick trip tp Sydney last week (hence my 'Photo a Day being SO far behind!!). My sister Liesse had booked me to photograph her partner and children. We were just about to head out the door when they called everyone in the family together to announce that they had become engaged the night before. So the photo shoot was now going to also be an engagement shoot for the happy couple! I was so excited to be able to capture this special time in their lives and you can see the love bewteen them in these images.

Dear Liss and Gaz,
Congratulations on your engagement. May the love between you grow even stronger with each day that passes.

Itty Bitty Newborn Heaven - 4 week old Zachary {Melbourne Newborn Photographer}

My first official session back from Maternity Leave happened to be a yummy newborn session! I think I found my groove today with newborns, perhaps having one of my own has given me the magic touch. I hope it sticks around!
You may remember Master Zachary from a blog post a few weeks ago, well today I had the pleasure of taking his newborn portraits. He is such a teeny tiny little person with all the fuzziness and sweetness that goes with being only 4 weeks old.

Janelle and Peter,
Thank you so much for trusting me with this very important job. I hope you love these as much as I loved taking them for you. I will be in touch.

Two Men and Two Babies - 4 months on.

You might remember this 60 minutes story from a little while back featuring Peter and Trevor and their journey to become parents: http://sixtyminutes.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=816881

I had the pleasure of photographing these beautiful little miracles when they were 6 weeks old:

Yesterday I was asked to take an updated family shot for the Dads - which of course I jumped at, as Peter and Trevor are two of the most friendly, caring and helpful people you will meet and are so derserved of their little family.

So here we are, Two Men and Two Babies - 4 months on.

Day 6 - Photo a Day {Melbourne Child Photographer}

Just a Mummy snap for day 6...we decided to head off to the open day at Point Cook RAAF Museum. Koby decided to scream the place down so all I could manage were a few quickies.

'Blog This' Challenge

Here is an awesome blogsite you shoud visit: http://blogthis.com.au
Now for me it's a case of better late than never I guess...it's only up to challenge #15 . To be honest, I was just a little confused about how it all worked...LOL
Anyhow, here is that challenge question.
If you were the ruler of the world - what would you change about the world if you had the power to do anything...?

If I had the power to do anything I would try, with some fairness, to remove the class system in our society. I would remove monetary value from life's necessities hopefully removing poverty resulting in low or no income. I feel sad that in our society we have such extremes, considering we are all human beings.

Simple really.

Day 5 - Photo a Day {Melbourne Child Photographer}

For something different, Paigey's Nanny decided they would take a bus ride to the Plaza instead of driving. Paigey loves going on little adventures like this. Here she is waiting at the bus stop in the icey, cold wind. I hope the's having fun!!

Day 4 - Photo a Day {Melbourne Child Photographer}

This image best represents Paigey Girl. When home she always strips down to her nappy pants leaving a trail of clothes, socks and shoes in her wake. She's my little tom-boy preferring cars over dolls anyday. She repeatedly watches the movie CARS - and yes, here Lightenin' McQueen and Sally are smoochin'.
Enjoy,
Chrissy

Photo a Day - Day 2 {Melbourne Child Photographer}

An apple a day? In Paige's case it's more like 2 or 3 a day.

My beautiful boy - 8 weeks and 2 days old {Melbourne Baby Photographer}

My sweet Koby Monster {or Mr McGoo as he is now affectionately called} is changing so much. Every day there is something different about him and everyday he is becoming more and more like a baby than a newborn. He coos, gurgles, smiles and chuckles and he thinks I am the funniest person in the whole wide world, which is just the way I like it!

Photo A Day - September 2009 {Melbourne Child Photographer}

Counting down till the daycare run is always filled with excitement crossed with that feeling you get before a huge storm is about to erupt. I am always excited to see my little person again at the end of the day but I also know it's the time of the day when life becomes a little hectic for a few hours.
